Mario’s Towing Ltd.

Mario and Darlene Moretto started Mario’s Towing Ltd. in 1985 as a small Kelowna company that involved the entire family in the day-to-day operations. Today, Mario’s still involves the entire family and many long term staff members who have become family. Mario and Darlene Moretto, themselves, have over 70 years’ experience combined in the towing business. From day to day operations, marketing, employee development and retention, equipment purchasing and repair, business development, real estate transactions, and numerous other activities, they both are pioneers in the Towing industry in BC.

With locations in Kelowna, West Kelowna, Kamloops, Merritt, Hope, Princeton, Revelstoke and Prince George, Mario’s has been keeping British Columbia’s highways clear for over 30 years.

BC’s interior has become a summer destination where the population increases exponentially during these months resulting in higher traffic levels, high accident rates, more bylaw traffic issues, more everything. Given this, with traffic and related parking issues with many festivals, events, and increased tourism, Mario’s has positioned itself to handle numerous calls consecutively during the busiest times. Mario’s Towing employs the largest towing fleet in the province, has the most variety of trucks, and largest employee pool of drivers hands down.

Experience and Qualifications

Mario’s Towing Ltd.’s staff are highly trained within the industry and have provided many years of professional service. Operators benefit from Wreck Master training as well numerous training events held by the Mario’s Towing Group. Management and ownership share over 100 years of service combined within the industry. Mario’s Towing Ltd.’s ownership has benefited from the General Manager receiving a Business Degree from UBC Okanagan and well as its Chief Financial Officer who has 30 years financial management experience and possesses a CPA, CMA professional accounting designation in Canada as well as a CPA designation in Australia.
